Hullabaloo 2016 to feature Isaiah Rashad, Tennyson, Andrew Luce

Isaiah Rashad will be the headliner for UCSD’s annual Hullabaloo music festival, according to UCSD ASCE’s Facebook event page. Other artists will include Tennyson and Andrew Luce.

Rashad is a hip hop artist from Tennessee whose EP, Cilvia Demo, was released in 2014 through Top Dawg Entertainment. Rashad has also previously toured with ScHoolboy Q and was included in the annual freshman class of XXL in 2014, alongside Chance the Rapper and Ty Dolla $ign. Rashad’s debut album, The Sun’s Tirade, was released earlier this year and includes tracks “Free Lunch” and “Park”.

Tennyson is a brother-sister duo featuring Luke Tennyson and Tess Pretty from Edmonton, Canada. Their EP “Like What” features complex drumming, live sampling, and keyboards.

Luce’s most popular songs include “When to Love You (feat. Chelsea Cutler)” and “Up To You (feat. Chelsea Cutler)”. Luce is one of the youngest solo artists to ever take the stage at Coachella Music Festival, where he played in 2015.

Hullabaloo will take place on Friday, Nov. 18, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Town Square and Matthews Quad. In addition to live music, the free event will feature amusement rides and food vendors open to all UCSD undergraduate students.

Corrections: A previous version of this article stated that Clivia Demo was Rashad’s debut album when, in fact, it was an EP. In addition the track “I Mean” is a single track and not a part of the album The Sun’s Tirade, as was previously stated in this article.
