One Killed, Three Others Injured in Shooting at La Jolla Party

One person was killed and at least three others were injured following a shooting at a La Jolla party on Sunday morning, according to Fox5 News.

The shooting occurred at 7500 Draper Ave., near a Jack in the Box and The Taco Stand. According to Lt. Anthony Dupree of the San Diego Police Department Homicide Unit, partygoers were standing outside the home when a light-colored sedan drove by and fired shots.

Medics took a 20-year-old woman to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead. A 23-year-old man was also hospitalized for gunshot wounds and is currently in “serious but stable condition.”

Two other victims who suffered non-fatal gunshot wounds in the upper body were admitted to different hospitals.

Police are investigating the motive for the shooting. The shooter’s identity is unknown. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the SDPD Homicide Unit at (619) 531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
