Rapper Rico Nasty, along with Ari Lennox and Destiny Rogers, will headline the 2019 annual Spring Send-Off.
Originally from Maryland, Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly, known professionally as Rico Nasty, started rapping in high school, releasing her first mixtape, “Summer’s Eve” in 2014. Nasty has released five mixtapes since 2016, featuring songs such as “Smack a Bitch”, “Countin Up”, and “Rage.” Nasty’s released her latest album, Anger Management, yesterday in collaboration with music producer Kenny Beat.
Ari Lennox is an up and coming R&B singer/songwriter signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville Records. Her most notable song is “Whipped Cream” from her forthcoming debut album. From Northern California, Destiny Rogers is a pop/R&B singer known for the song “Tomboy,” from her EP of the same name.
The 2019 Spring Send-Off will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. at the Price Center West Ballroom. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased via Eventbrite. Attendees must be UCSD students with a valid UCSD ID.
