Make a Submission

Have an opinion relevant to UCSD’s community that you’d like heard?

There are two types of formats for submitting your opinion.

  • Disagree or agree with an article an article or issue published in The Triton? Letters to the Editor present an opportunity to respond to any Triton article or pertinent issue affecting the UCSD community. Letters should be around 250 words and may be edited for clarity.
  • An Op-Ed presents an opportunity to discuss any pertinent issue affecting the UCSD community. Op-Ed’s should be around 600-800 words and may be edited for clarity. We will not publish any articles that are deemed libelous, racist, sexist, homophobic, or clearly written in any other highly offensive manner. Content that is not properly fact checked and/or cited will also not be published. We reserve the right to go through several rounds of editing to make sure the piece is primed to be published. Any content you submit should be relevant to the UCSD community, the UC system, or the surrounding area.
